Hey guys, I just thought I would share this. This is my (soon to be) brother in law with his 1972 Camaro. The story behind this car is his dad bought this in a junk yard in the 80's. he completly restored it and drove it for a while with a pontiac 400 with a 4 speed. it has been through 3 colors. bird yellow, canary yellow and now white. It now sports a 327 and a turbo 350. His dad gave him the car at birth. It was on the road up until 99. So for years it has been sitting and just getting the occasional start and around the block drive. As of now we are completly redoing the car again. We have literally every body panel off of the car. It will have all the rust problems fixed (even though it is like 3 spots ;D) After that it will be painted a nice dark matallic silver with black stripes, with Torq thrust D's. Motor wise it will have a 400 small block with some go fast parts, Full exhaust, built tranny, and a built rearend. So here are some pictures of the car before the tear down.

It's gonna be a nice car when it's all said and done. Even though it was a nice car in the pictures. The body is near perfect except 3 little surface rust spots. The only reason it is getting a complete tear down is to install the all new interior, all new glass ect. His dad wants this thing to make all the older men jealous when they find out that this is a 16 year olds car! He even plans on bringing it to the shoot out when finished

cool camaro, If you wanna see some live footage of a canary yellow 701/2-73, The movie "Gumball Rally" has a cool one with an L-88 hood, and 15X10 Cragar S/S's. the movie's pretty cool too.

I know. If you haven't seen 12 rounds it has almost the exact style we are going for.

well instead of a 400 sbc build it will be a 350 with a 383 scat stroker. He got a good deal on a short block for 100 bucks. So now I need to find out where I can send it off to get it bored and hot tanked. Its a little weathered, its got some surface rust from sitting but I hope it can get cleaned up.
