Hey guys, me and the soon to be brother in law are redoing a 72 camaro...
we need help with wheel fitment. Hopefully we can find someone with some backspacing help.
ok he likes torque thrust D's 15's is what he wants to run with street tires.
BUT he does not want to roll the lips or massage the inside.
So what is the right size wheels front and back to do so. He wants a little offset with the back having a little wider lip.
Any help?

3 1/2 backspace should give you plenty of room on the inside. The wheel well on those cars is open so you can easily get a 8" wheels w/ 275's on it. Same bcsp on the front but no wider than a 7" & a 215 tire. That should work out well.

i have 8.5 in wheels all the way around my 79 trans-am(same body style I believe) I would have to measure the backspacing if you want. they are 295-50-15's on rear

i ran 15x10's on mine and they were flush with the outer lip of the fender and did not stick out at all with M/T N-50's on them
