I went to KVD 1/8th mile strip last night to do a little testing. we have been changing up the suspension trying to get better 60ft times. I put strange 10 ways on it and moved the lower control arm into the lowest hole to get the instant center farther back the car instead of right behind the front tires. this lowered my car in the rear but moved the anti-squat value into the 150's. The good news is the rear isn't dropping like before so tire clearance isn't an issue like I was worried about. I have a new set of hoosier 28 X 10.5's now with maybe 10 passes on them. KVD's track is pretty slick most of the time and tonight was about par for the course. I'm hoping to get it to hook there and I should be good about anywhere. I think I am making some progress as it isn't blowing the tires off but it is still spinning some. The car weighs around 3100 lbs (with driver). These videos I was using the transbrake and a 3100 and 3500 launch. My 60 ft. times were 1.44 and 1.45 which just seems really slow to me. on a better track with almost wore out 275-60 drag radials I was 1.38 before any changes. I know there are alot of mustangs out there that are really launching strong. Mine feels kinda weak out of the hole then moves out in 2nd and 3rd. I am only running 6.06 and 6.07 in these videos at 117-118mph. The best has been a 5.92 @ 116. best mph run was a 5.97 @121. Both of these runs I had the shocks front and rear full loose. and had 11.5 lbs of air in one run and 11 the other. I am open for constructive critism as I would like to be running faster and I think the car has it in it if the first 60 ft were better. I'll have to get with Adam to do his magic and unleash a little more power but that may just make the 1st 60 worse. If things stay the way they are I have a 6.0x car at this track and a 5.9x car at a better track. Which is still ok (since it is quite a bit faster than I was before)...but I'm not as competitive as I need to be. Thanks for watching:

Moving out pretty good. Gives me some hope for the next race. You lost me...how is that giving you hope? Do you plan on spanking me??? It can be done...those 6.0x's seem to be common place for me at KVD. I do plan on having a little better tune-up by the next race I can make and the suspension working a little better as well. Might not help alot but maybe 2 tenths. I already go a tenth faster on different tracks now so hopefully can get another tenth with some tweaking. Maybe more and can run the times that the MPH indicates it has in it

No I don't plan on spanking you. Just seeing someone hook on new tires. I was at bluegrass a few weeks ago hitting 1.45 60ft's hope u can pull it off at kv to.

Looks like the suspension is still a little stiff. I think it needs more power on the line.

If its as bad as everyone says looks like a single stage weekend for me. One day maybe I can hit all 3 on the same pass!

I certainly don't want to say anything negative about the track because it is probably just my car and tryng different susension things but the few big tired "race" cars that were there seemed to be spinning a little on the line on the line and JimP was struggling with the first 60 feet from the times I watched him ( not sure if he was just trying new things and got it figured out by the end of the night or not. Safe bet is take it easy and if it is working for you then nail it.
Those runs were at KVD and was getting 1.44 and 1.45 type sixty foot times until I tried to launch from an idle to see what would happen....didn't work out well(1.60)

My main goal is to see what I can get out of 1 stage. Got 20's on 1 last time out. Hope to get teens if possible. Motor should be good to lean on it this year.

Thanks but super street's got nothin to worry about from little ole me. A 6.06 time will do nothing but get you an early exit. Of course, no one said that's all she has.
