Hey my name is Robert Maddox, I live in Catlettsburg, KY. I've been on kyhp for years, and always attended there spring and fall races, and just recently attended the ECSCA race at kanawha back in November of last year and had a blast just spectating. This year, I'll be racing for a change. Finally got my Firebird up and running again. Nothing special, just a stock van motor, with bolt ons, converter, and a gear. Looking to run in the Mean street class. Here's a couple recent pics: Last weekend I swapped over to the 98-up front end, so here it is as of today: Needs lined up and painted, I know. But it's a work in progress.

Thanks guys. Yes Homer, that was me testing it out for the first time since I swapped out the LT1, and swapped in the LS motor. I love seeing that silver mustang hang 'em high when you launch it.
basically it's just a stock van 6.0, that was sitting in the corner at bluecat's for 18months. I scotch brite'd the cylinder walls, swapped in some used rod bolts, and let 'er rip. Stock 6.0 heads, stock cam, stock ls1 intake, and tiny 1 5/8" headers. 3400-ish converter, 3.73, and 26" m/t drag radials. an extreme budget build for the most part.

Welcome, pull up a chair and sit for a while. The chair is also useful for standing on it cause it does get deep in here from time to time lol..

Thanks. I spent a decent amount of time re routing wires, relocating certain things, and Filling in holes. I base coat/clear coated the engine bay while the motor was out too. When I come to the race, I'll try and park next to a stock-ish ls1 car, and you'll be amazed at what all is gone under the hood. Lol

"Mean Street" ? What ever you do don't install a roll cage for safety reasons. ..... I figured I'd climb in my chair for a while. Lol

nice firebird, welcome to the site. I thought you were clint in another post so thats the reason i refered to you as ashland streetracer. leave the mismatched paint it scores points in my book, also makes it better for hustling runs.
