Your stock appearing glass? This gonna include working windows? Want to make sure, lexan is still not allowed correct?

As it was last year, lexan will be allowed if it looks factory, i.e. no pop rivits, bracketry, holes, etc. If the window looks like it works, it will be good, In tech I dont want to roll up and down everyones windows. There will be an advantage to a post car like a 68-72 nova, where you can stuff a lexan window up in the frame. whereas with a hardtop(non-post window frame) like ur malibu, its hard to hide without lots of reinforcing. so, street appearing is an easy way of enforcing this. There will undoubtably be issues that come up with grey areas. Last year we were strict with the windows, and lights, however, whats the opinion on penalizing a nearly total street appearing car that has bracket and rivited windows, by giving the other car the go, or giving them the option of bumping up a class, same goes for lights. another Question, how about when the track lights come on, the car lights come on, if a car doesnt have park lights and headlights, give the other car the go? Just an Idea to keep it street cars.

Have to disagree on this one. Lexan was not allowed last year. If it doesnt have working windows it should not be allowed. Gonna open up a can of worms on this one. Stick with something, to hell with grey areas. Its not hard to stick with working windows and lights. Another 30 sec in tech is not going to hurt!

I agree with firebug. Pro STREET means working windows and lights. You're going to end up with even more pure drag cars in your STREET car shootout if you start slacking on the rules like that. Pretty soon, everyone has to turn their street cars into drag cars... in order to compete at your STREET car event.

Lexan was allowed just had to be stock appearing & had to have functional side windows. Thats what kept Steve's camaro in Outlaw (which we've now fixed) Last yr. I don't see a problem w/ Lexan as long as its stock appearing.

lexan wasnt allowed because the last race the burgundy mustang had lexan and mark told him had to be glass just not fuctional so he switched it over the wk before .my opinion it needs to be factory glass, mufflers, any tire ,must have working lights for it to fit the class

Just made it no chassis cars in pro street. Glass has to be stock appearing, no screws or brackets. Also no clips to hold it shut. I dont agree with it, but im not the final say. So you can pretty much cut one down to nothing and be legal. Doesnt matter much, just have to tune her up a bit and try to get a little quicker?
