welcome what class do you run in NMCA and or NMRA, lets hope this takes off its hard to do a heads up event around here lets hope it gets going good and continues to grow ....but its kinda tough to tell people about the race series when you dont know the rules (or they keep changing), or the payouts for each class........because thats generally the first two questions you get asked.

I work for NMCA/NMRA, I drive the merchandise truck and trailer, I am the midway and swapmeet mgr. and I do marketing online and with event flyers. I spoke with Mark today, and he has a good crew helping him, and He will do his best to grow this and make the right calls, and keep it safe. He has seen more racing than most, being from Jim Heads, funny car team. I will help him when I can, and I wish him good luck with his races. Jeff

the above post might clear up some things for those that are unsure of the classes, as far as the purse goes, the flyer states $2,250. it is going to be divided up among the class winners with nothing going to 2nd place. I would say a minumum of 5-6 classes. alot of the purse is gift certificates, and stuff donated from sponsors. its hard for sponsors to turn loose of cash, but a little wagering on the side is allowed. I will hold it. Also an idea is everyone put x amount into the pot for the class, and winner take all.

Are you gonna wait and see how many cars show up to make that decision? Not gonna do it at all? What's your thinking on this? Just curious.

yeah, there will be one, based on roll bar and whatever the track tech guy says the car can run, if it has a roll bar and other saftey stuff to run a 6.50, then he'll run cars that could run as fast as 6.50. if there is enough cars that could make up a 6.00- 6.49, then we'll make a class for them too. i hate to leave it up in the air, but it might have to be made on a per race basis depending on car count, but nobodys getting an unfair deal, because at the last race the 6 sec cars were running the high 8 sec cars, so no matter what type of bumping we do, it will be more fair than lumping all the stock location suspension cars together.

Well Mr. Taylor, you have a job that I would enjoy. I've been spectating and competing in the NMRA for about 7 years now. They accepting any resumes? Lol
