Probably cause its all fiberglass. Oh wait a sec, It's a vette. My bad. I'm thinking more like S/S. It'll have head lights before it goes to the track. It's a full interrior, stock glass w/ chromoly cage.

That's an awful ot of rear tire to have the frame in the stock location.

Nthe5S somethings have to stay secret, but it is a bbc w/ powerglide. Mike, I sold the chevelle back to its original owner who raced it as a super stocker for 25+ yrs. He found me & made me a good offer + it went to a good home. I asked him if I could have 1st chance to buy it back & his comment was it got away once. This time they'll barry him in it. LOL!

heck a mildly built 468 in a car that weight with a glide = 6.0's pretty easily I would think. Got to love those vettes...I would like to have one as well but as it goes,we build what we have and dream it is something else.lol

Rollingthunder I was I'm pressed w/ your car all year. To do what you did w/ I know had to be 1 of the heaviest cars there was impressive. What do those stangs weigh 3600 or so?

yes.. it weights right around 3700 w/o me. It is all steel and completely there(interior and all). It is just something that has morphed into what it is. Just a street driver a few years back. Then as I got older and other busier it along with my trans-am spend alot of time in the garage resting for the day they get to come out and play . I hope my 87 gt mustang is a fierce runner next year. It is a complete interior car as well with little ole 275-60-15 drag radial. It is still (and always be) completely street legal. Goals with it are to be in the 5's next season if I get on the ball and get it together. I really did the big tire cars (even had one for a short time) and love the older vettes as well. You got both in one shot. Hope it performes the way you want next year

It should. We'll see. Corvettes are actually heavey cars. 77 vettes were 3600Lbs in stock trim. Its a good car w/ a lot of potential. The chevelle I raced last year was 3360 lbs w/ out me in it. It was a heavey car to. That's why I respect the lead sleds.
