This forum is dedicated to a group of racers located in the WV, KY and OH states, but if you are from another state feel free to jump in and let us know what you think. There is something about the type of people that enjoy the sport of fastest streetcar shootouts, you can take a group of total strangers, put them to gether and they can shoot the breeze and bench race like they've known one another for years. Most have spent their time on the streets mixing it up with one and all from actual streetracing, but with the dangers and inability to do much organizing, this is a great alternative to the dangerous pastime. This event stemmed from a certain "bust" that occured a couple years ago, and a couple guys got together and planned a legit event at a track to make it look good on them in court, and we had so much fun we decided to keep doing it. It started out as a simple grudge night, basically like the streetracing setup. But when the night was over, there were numerous fast cars that hadnt ran each other at all. Thats when we decided a shootout would really show us who was fastest. We decided to group cars the way you get runs on the street. If you have regular radial tires, you dont run a car with slicks, so all the regular radial cars ran in a class, all the cars with slicks or e.t. streets ran, and the tubbed cars ran each other. over the course of a number of events we developed it into the classes we have now.

Hey guys, I know most of you probably check other car forums, to maybe get some more participation both on here and at the track, I'll type up a little thing here and if you get the chance, just copy and paste it to ur "other" favorite forum. I know Greg is drumming up business on WVmotorsports.com , thanks greg. Hey guys there is a streetcar shootout going on in west virginia, its heads-up armdrop, with all incremental times, on secret timeslips, no posted times on the timer boards and 7 classes to closely match all cars from nearly stock daily drivers to all out drag cars, the forum is www.streetshootout.net , if you get a chance check it out there is a bunch of pics in the multimedia section from past events
